About everygrocer

Last updated 2026-10-09

everygrocer is an online market for neighborhood grocery shops. Independent local shop owners — home kitchens, small farms and neighbors who bring in hard-to-find goods — sell fresh produce, dry goods and home cooking to customers nearby, who pick the order up or have it brought by a local driver the shop arranges. everygrocer is operated by Anureka Inc.

Where we are

Shops are selling right now in Sunnyvale, CA. A place is listed only while at least one shop there has something you can order, so the list grows as shops open.

Every order stays local: nothing is shipped by mail or courier. The up-to-date list of places and the shops in each is on the "Shops near you" page (/near).

How it works

Shop owners open a shop, list what they sell and set their own prices, order cutoffs and pickup times. Items that need preparing ahead, such as boxed meals, are sold in rounds: one order cutoff, one pickup day and place.

Customers order on the website or the iPhone and Android apps and choose pickup or local delivery at checkout. For pickup, the exact spot is shared after you order. For delivery, the shop arranges a local driver and sets the time with you, and you get a text when the time is set and when the driver is on the way.

You can pay by card through Stripe — for card orders Anureka Inc. is the merchant of record — or, where the shop accepts it, by Zelle or Venmo straight to the shop owner. Items sold by weight are charged after the shop owner weighs them.

Each shop owner is the seller of their own goods. everygrocer does not grow, buy, store or handle any product. Shops selling prepared meals must show their food permit on their shop page; what that means is on the Food safety page (/food-safety).

What it costs

Customers pay the prices the shop sets, plus a delivery fee if the shop charges one. There is no platform fee for customers.

Opening a shop on everygrocer is free — you pay 5% of an order only when you actually sell something, and never more than $20 in commission a month, plus card processing at cost on card orders. No monthly fee. The full breakdown is on the Pricing page (/pricing).

How everygrocer is different

Instacart: Instacart shoppers pick your order at supermarkets and big retail stores and deliver it. On everygrocer you buy straight from an independent local shop owner — a home cook, a small farm, a neighbor — and the money goes to them.

Weee!: Weee! is an online grocer that sells and delivers from its own inventory. everygrocer holds no inventory; each shop on it is run by an independent shop owner near you.

Farmers markets: a farmers market happens at a set time and place and you shop in person. On everygrocer you order online ahead of time and pick up from the shop owner or get local delivery, and shops can sell between market days.

Who runs it
